Can't hit a thing

Last two times I've played I have run so badly. Have been involved in three 2k+ pots this evening with 75% favourite, 50% fave 3 way and 35% three way and hit none of them. If I run to expectation I am at least $3.3k better off. I am currently rather hacked off and am quitting for the evening. I'm also going to spend the next couple of days rebuilding at 2-4 rather than playing 5-10. that is my own fault for not maintaining a large online bankroll but at least it means I don't go off for large amounts.

Ah well, it's all part of the game and I've had worse runs and at least I can justify all of my play over these sessions

Hey Steve, Iv'e been reading your blog for a bout 2 months and have really enjoyed the insight into the professional poker lifestyle that your providing. Iv'e been playing poker for about 2 years and just started playing online in the last couple of weeks on Pokerstars. Playing mostly Omaha Hi/lo and Omaha HI Ive been able to triple up my online bankroll in about one week to 200 dollars. I've played 4-8 and 10-20 Limit Omaha Hi/LO in casinos almost every weekend for a year now and I cant believe how bad many of the players online are compared to casino players. They seem to want to pay you off on the river everytime you raise them. Anyway you seem to be doing really well with Omaha and play pretty close to my style, but i know that playing razz really helped to improve all of my games especially Omaha. I'm not exactly sure why, but when I became a profitable Razz player all of my other games became more profitable as well. Just thought it might help to improve your overall game. There are several going around the clock at Pokerstars, not sure about Party poker, as i can't play there since i'm an american. Good luck to you in the future and keep up the good work with the blog.
Sincerely Ben aka (OminousTS)

PS. Pokerstars has much higher limits than party poker when it comes to PL Omaha, 200 -400 at the highest and usually half a dozen 25 -50 games going round the clock when your bankroll becomes big enough for the higher limits. Hopefully I'll be able to play with you there someday.

Cheer for the advise Ben and I'm glad you're finding my blog useful/entertaining. I think what you say about your razz game helping to improve your play at other forms of poker is bang on. I certainly intend to widen my repertoir of games and razz is certainly on the list which I need to master, especially as it is included in HORSE events which I intend to play in the future.

I'm glad you've started so positively online and wish you continued success.
